Let's keep those who have been affected by the typhoon in the Philippines in our thoughts and prayers.  Not only were human beings affected negatively, but animals were affected as well.  This picture above brings tears to my eyes.  Please consider donating to help the people and animals of the Philippines as they try to pick up the pieces after this horrific disaster.

Happy Veterans Day!  Thank you to all the Vets out there who served for their country.  We appreciate you very much!  Let's not forget about the canine Vets either.  They serve their country proudly and risk their lives alongside the human soldiers.  Let's give the canine and human soldiers two paws up for their amazing service!  Thank you!

November is adopt a senior month!  Please go down to your local shelter and adopt a senior animal.  All animals need love, even the older ones.  Comment if you have ever adopted a senior pet or if you are going to!

Thanks guys!

Happy Halloween to everyone that celebrates!  Everyone have a great holiday and keep your cats inside!  I hope you all get lots of candy and get the day off from work tomorrow!  Wouldn't that be nice!
P.S. Isn't that the coolest pumpkin ever!  If only I could make those...a girl can dream!   -Jen

October 29th is National Cat Day!  Take a few minutes to appreciate those special felines in your life.  Also take the time to think about those cats that do not have loving homes.  Donate to your local shelter in honor of National Cat Day!  The kitties will thank you!

October is Pit Bull Awareness month.  If you are like me, you know that pit bulls are amazing dogs with an undeserved bad reputation.  In my opinion, they are some of the most loving and gentle dogs I have ever met in my life.

Thugs turn them into fighting dogs and give the whole breed a bad reputation.  Only 1 in every 600 pit bulls that enters a shelter will make it out alive.  That is a sad and disgusting statistic.

I personally have never had a pit bull, but not because I don't want one.  I simply have never had one come into my life.

I hope to have a rescued pit bull someday so that I can change a few people's opinions of these great dogs.  This link explains the history of Pit Bull awareness month more than I can.

Blame the deed, not the breed!
